Multiple chassis configurations available. Review form factor requirements to ensure compatibility. 

Up to 8 x small form factor (SFF) hot-plug SAS drives or SATA. 
Up to 4 x large form factor (LFF) hot-plug SAS drives or SATA. 

Gen7 carrier is backwards compatible in previous gen. systems. 
Gen8 SFF carrier is compatible in Gen8, Gen9, and Gen10 systems. 
Gen8 LFF carrier is compatible in Gen8 and Gen9 systems.
